Pregnacare Conception provides 400µg folic acid, the exact level recommended by the Department of Health for all women who are trying to conceive. Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate status*. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing foetus. As well as playing a role in the process of cell division, folic acid also contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy.
Female reproductive health
Certain nutrients can play a role in helping support reproductive health in women. Pregnacare Conception includes zinc which contributes to normal fertility and reproduction whilst vitamin B6 contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity. The formula also includes vitamin B12, iron, magnesium and 20µg vitamin D which have a role in the process of cell division.

Did you know that some women can experience irregular cycles when coming off the contraceptive pill, which can last up to six months? The menstrual cycle can also be disturbed by weight loss, weight gain, excessive amount of exercise, physical or emotional upset.
Whilst no research has shown there is a link, some women have reported a delay in their monthly cycle while using this product.
Changes in lifestyle including changes in intake of nutrients, exercise, and stopping oral contraception is thought in some cases to have an impact on the frequency or regularity of the menstrual cycle. A delay in the cycle could also be related to other underlying issues.
If you experience a delay or change in your monthly cycle, do not assume that you are pregnant unless this is confirmed by pregnancy testing. If disruption of your menstrual cycle affects you, please consult your doctor or health professional.

ONE TABLET PER DAY, WITH YOUR MAIN MEAL.
Swallow with water or a cold drink. Not to be chewed. Do not exceed recommended intake. To be taken only on a full stomach. There is no need to take an additional multivitamin.
